Great quality lens at a fair and affordable price. Can’t wait for more focal lengths. Great everyday lens fom my Leica CL.
He is very happy with the lens. it is excellent! I would like to point out two things, though. First, the color printing of the numbers on the aperture scale could be improved, as after only two months they have already started to fade.
The second point is that the lens is probably actually f/2.5 rather than f/2. If you look closely, the aperture does open to f/2, but the diameter of the rear part of the lens barrel is smaller than what would be required for f/2, and it seems to stop at around f/2.5.
Despite these points, the lens is of very high quality, and considering its price, it is a very good purchase.
Have now been using it for a couple of months, it´s a great lens! Sharp and clear fotos.
High marks for this lens. Build quality is excellent and the compact size is nice. Best of all the images I’m able to get keep me coming back to it. Nevermind that it is as cheap as chips.. Great job Mandler!
A fun, compact lens that suffers from build quality issues.
The results from the lens are great (love the bokeh) but the painting of the lettering on the lens is not consistent, the focus ring’s tension is not uniform across the full range (feels like there is a spot to “overcome” with extra tension), and the aperture ring rotates beyond the f2 and f16 stops.
If you can overlook issues like that, the lens is great.
Absolute magic on the Nikon Zf and Fujifilm systems!I am completely in love with this Mandler 35mm f/2 lens. The rendering is absolutely beautiful and has a distinct character that modern lenses just cannot replicate. On my Nikon Zf, the colors come alive—they are rich, and deeply atmospheric.I have also adapted it to my Fujifilm cameras, and the results are just as stunning. It handles beautifully on both bodies, adapting perfectly to both full-frame and APS-C formats. If you appreciate vintage character, micro-contrast, and poetic color rendering, this lens is a masterpiece. Highly recommended!
Such a great lens. Now only is the image quality great but it small and very well built. It is my most used lens on my Leica M5!

Ultimately, it stops you from overthinking your gear and simply lets you focus on being present in the moment. Exceptional craftsmanship through and through.
A bit disappointed that it will not focus on infinity. Have to send it to DAG for adjustment and cost me an extra $180.
Lens in all respects. I use it mainly on my Nikon z5II with a Techart adapter. Autofocus and tracking excellent. It is the sharpest lens in my arsenal including Leica, Voigtlander, and Nikon. And uyes it is the king of bokeh. Get it, you will be glad you did.
Excellent manufactured lens. Good sharpeness even wide open. Very sharp stopped down. Nice bokeh and flare in back light. Would buy it again! Looking forward seeing more primes to come!
When it comes to non native lenses, the Mandler is the one to choose. I’ve used VM and ZM glass prior, but for the price, the sharpness and build quality of the Mandler 35mm is tough to beat. I went to Japan recently and left all my other lenses at home because I trusted this so much.
Fantastic high quality 35mm F2 lens!
Most people will say it's an excellent lens for the price. For me is an excellent lens with a great construction quality and outstanding performance. It is the lens I have on my Leicas 95 per cent of the time replacing my trusty Summaron 35 mm.
